Vlaams Diergeneeskundig Tijdschrift (ISSN 0303-9021) is a scientific, peer-reviewed, open access journal of veterinary medicine, published bimonthly both on paper and online by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ghent University.The journal mainly contains clinical topics presented as case reports, reviews and original research, either in English (with Dutch abstract) or in Dutch (with English abstract). The journal is covered by Current Contents, Web of Science and other indexing services.

The Vlaams Diergeneeskundig Tijdschrift  is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.  Furthermore the journal partners with LOCKSS/CLOCKSS for archival preservation of published research to guarantee long-term preservation and access.
