De arbeidsparticipatie van gehuwde vrouwen: een multivariate analyse

Abstract

Labor force participation of married women - This article is based on a multiple regression estimation of twelve independant variables for the professional activity of women. The population selected for this analysis consists of the married women of the third national fertility survey of the Population and Family Study Center. It appears from the analysis that the labor market participation before marriage, the education of the women and the family size have the most important effects on the present professional activity of the wife. Other important variables to influence the wife’s employment are the age of the youngest child and the age of the women.
