Enrico Barone en het collectivistisch regime: een kanttekening bij "de geschiedenis van het economisch denken" van Prof. Dr. G. Vandewalle

Author

Abstract

Enrico Barone and the collectivist regime - In his book “History of economic thought” Vandewalle wrote that Enrico Barone, although he was a liberal, proved in an article that the economic planning in a collectivist regime would not be necessarily inefficient. In this article Van Dun proves that this must be considered as a misunderstanding of the ideas of BARONE. The responsibility for this misunderstanding must be ascribed to Schumpeter. In his article, the author treats some of the economic ideas of Barone and tries to explain how SCHUMPETER came to his wrong conclusion.
