Consensusmethodologie versus conflictmethodologie: een onderzoekstechnisch probleem met een sociale dimensie

Abstract

Consensus methodology versus conflict methodology: a research-technical problem with a social dimension - The purpose of this article is to introduce and to assess some elements of the discussion between the consensus methodology and the conflict methodology positions. First attention is paid to the variety of techniques proponents of the consensus and the conflict methodology are dealing with. Afterwards an overview is given of the important social dimension of this technical problem as it has been introduced by conflict methodological researchers. At the conclusion of this paper a diagram of the main arguments of the discussion is presented as well as a personal view on the consensus versus conflict methodological contradiction.
