Complexe beleidsproblemen, participatieve modelbouw en systeemdynamica
Abstract
Complex policy problems, participatory modelling, and system dynamics - The problems which policy makers have to face are constantly gaining in complexity. In recent years policy analysts have increasingly tried to come to grips with complex policy problems. This evolution has yielded some important theoretical insights leading to the development of criteria by means of which it has become feasible to better recognize and interpret these kinds of problems. Moreover, both analytical and more intuitive techniques were developed that have opened new perspectives for decision support pertaining to complex policy problems. The article deals with these new developments and explores one such technique in particular, viz. system dynamics.
