De grootte van samenlevingen, monogamie en het geloof in moraliserende goden
Abstract
The size of societies, monogamy, and the belief in high gods supporting human morality - Two predictions formulated in a previous article, were tested by ethnographic data from Murdock. The predictions are that with an increase in the size of societies : a) societies will more often tend to be monogamous; b) a belief in high gods supporting human morality is more likely. Murdock’s data support these predictions.
