Spijbelen en ordeverstorend gedrag op school


Abstract

Truancy and disturbed behaviour at school - The present contribution offers a survey of research data on truancy and disturbed behaviour at school. The points which are successively raised include : truancy as a form of escapism (which, in general, is occurring more frequently), the importance of time spent outside school as a factor accounting for behaviour, and behavioural reports from teachers with regard to truancy and behavioural disturbance. Another issue subjected to scrutiny is the motivation problem : it is argued that motivation and demotivation can only be explained from a multidimensional point of view. Finally, the research data mentioned above are examined for their relevance to the phenomenon of ’school weariness’ as asocial problem. In this context, a note of warning is sounded against individualizing such problems.
