Over zelfmarginalisering en zelfmarginaliteit
Abstract
On self marginalisation and self marginality - In this article marginality, like all forms of interaction in social life, is described as a multiform reality. In particular, the idea is developed that the process of marginalisation is not exclusively determined by a dominating social system but also, in a number of limited cases, influenced by the creative input of those subject to marginality. Self marginalisation, in contrast to structural marginalisation, is described as a motivated process which aims either at a denial of or at a resignation to institutionalized social life.
