Abstract

Alienation phenomena on the micro-, meso- and macro-levels — The question which is dealt with in the present article is the supposed relationship between alienation phenomena on the micro-, meso- and macro-levels. Interactions between people are fruitful only if they contribute to personal, interpersonal and societal development. Therefore we have to examine society and interactions in society for so called unvalues: that is to say, to establish if and when communication fails between persons with different ideas and belonging to different groups. Such things happen if the norms and values of a group are formulated in a one dimensional way so that is appears as an ideology to prevent people from developing their own personality and way of functioning in society. The article is based on an extensive study of the literature and follows lines of thinking developed in the graduate school of management in Delft.
