Zwitserland: gewestvorming en media zoals ze bij ons hadden kunnen zijn
Abstract
Zwitserland: Regionalism and media we might have had — Within the broad framework of a general media policy still to be elaborated for our country, it is necessary to pursue solutions and to determine lines of conduct which both reflect and meet the realities and the challenges of our policy in the political, economic, technological, social, linguistic and cultural spheres. In the present contribution, a preliminary study is made from the point of view stressing the aspects of the communities that combine political organization and media management. The most striking example of such a combination is likely to be found in Swiss federalism which has, due to its regionalism and decentralization, positively affected the media structure, the media organization, the media contents and the media management of that country. A recognition of this holds instructive management options for us Belgians, and especially Flemings.
