ICT-gebruik en identificatieprocessen in organisaties
Abstract
Identification with the organization or parts of an organization concerns a social process that is gaining attention in the organization literature. This is not surprising considering the social processes that are assumed to be related to identification, such as commitment, loyalty, satisfaction and social cohesion. In this article results of a study of the relationship between identification processes and the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) are reported. It is hypothesized that ICT use can have a restraining and delaying effect on identification processes with organizational groups (i.e. teams). With regard to identification with the organization itself a positive and accelerating effect is hypothesized. The results support the hypotheses at organizational level. At group level no effect was found.
