Wetenschap in de Vlaamse dagbladpers: verslag van een inhoudsanalytisch onderzoek

Abstract

This article is the result of a content analysis about science in six major Flemish daily newspapers. The results of this study are compared to the results of a similar Dutch study. These results show us that science is stepmotherly treated in the Flemish newspaper press. The best part of the newspaper give little attention to science. This does not mean that the Flemish journalist is not doing his job. The articles about science are normally well-written and very informing and educational.
