De NOS en pressiegroepen. Een aanzet tot beleidsontwikkeling

Abstract

This article is a summary of an inquiry into the policy of the NOS in relation to pressure groups. It concerns pressure groups that want to influence the policy of the NOS in regard to programming. One conclusion is that the NOS has a rather negative attitude towards any sort of consult with these pressure groups. To a great extent the policy depends on the ad hoc-policy the relevant department or person is pursuing. Another conclusion indicates to the fact that only indirect pressure through the political parties can really impress the NOS. Still in a recent report the NOS itself states that from a well-understood self-interest the NOS should pursue a more explicit policy in relation to pressure groups. In this article I’ll analyse what this well-understood self-interest of the NOS really is about and I’ll also give a first impulse to develop an explicit policy of the NOS in relation to pressure groups.
