Het besturen van kennissystemen: waar zit het stuur?
- Cees Van Woerkum
Abstract
Knowledge systems theory is one of the most promising parts of extension science. An important theme is the question where we draw the boundary lines. Is it wise to look at knowledge systems as relative autonomous entities, in an influential context, but with a powerful control by its own elements, e.q. via ’user control’, or is it better to consider a knowledge system as an aspect system of a larger system of social action? In this article the author pleads in defence of the last option, because of the fact that in many situations industrial or governmental forces have a decisive influence on the way a knowledge system -in the restricted sense - can function. This article elaborates especially on the influence of the government.
