Ons kent ons: een poging om de identiteit van een omroep te meten
Abstract
Object of the research reported in this article was the development of a reliable and valide instrument for measuring viewers perception of the identity of broadcast organisation in dramaprogrammes and shows. Research methods which until now are used in this kind of research are reviewed. The limitations of these methods are illustrated. A new method, in which scales, developed on in-depth interviews with program-producers and -buyers, are tested in survey research, is introduced and evaluated. The results are promising. In a majority of cases members of the broadcast organisation agree with the way the identity is structured in the programmes. This is indicated both by the scores on the developed scales as on the individual items.
