Pretesten van de begrijpelijkheid van een folder: het gebruik van test- en beoordelingsvragen

Abstract
The comprehensiveness of an information brochure can be improved by pretesting this information in a representative sample of the target population. Often questions which ask for the reader’s judgement about the comprehensiveness of the information (judgement-questions) are used. It is also possible to use test-questions to determine the comprehensiveness of the test. The use of these two kinds of questions to measure comprehensiveness was described and their advantages and disadvantages were listed. An illustration is given of the use of both kinds of questions in a pretest of the information brochure ’Child safety’. From this study it is recommended to use test questions to determine the comprehensiveness of information and judgement-questions to detect irregularities in the text.
