Het Postbus 251-project in Zaltbommel: een experiment met overheidsvoorlichting via lokale televisie

Abstract

For some time now the national government has considered public information one of its important services. There have been several initiatives to improve this service. One of these initiatives was the Postbus 251 project in Zaltbommel, launched in 1985. The objective of this project was to accumulate experience in providing public information by the national government via local television. In addition the intention was to determine to what extend cooperation was possible between the national and local governments regarding the provision of such an information service. In this article reactions of residents of Zaltbommel to this local television programming are presented. Also the cooperation between project participants is evaluated.
