Het Europees mediarecht
Abstract
The development of European rules for broadcasting is well under way. Both the Council of Europe and the EEC wish to enlarge the possibilities for broadcasting regulation offered by existing agreements by new, more specific rules. A draft of the existing rules and those still to bee realized from the basis for a further analysis. After finding that the proposals by the EEC and the Council of Europe for European media legislation have come to look more and more alike, question marks are put as to the necessity of the broadcasting rules proposed. Besides it is observed that in the future positive instruments for regulation (government aid and subsidies) will be emphasized more, whereas there will be fewer prohibitory clauses.
