Media-opvoeding: een braakliggend onderzoeksterrein

Abstract

Media education research is scarcely out of the egg. Except for the United States, little research has been done in this area. Partly using suggestions made by other contributors to the special issue on mass media education, the authors put forward a series of suggestions for further research. The research questions are concerned with four topics:(a) children’s entry behavior;(b) essential media knowledge and media literacy skills; (c) in-school media education, and (d) parental guidance of children’s media behavior.
