Abstract

Research on both quantity and quality of the biomass of Iranian  Eastern beech from high forests (Fagus Orientalis Lipsky) - The Eastern beech is the  most important commercial wood in Iran. ln order to prepare management plans  for these high forests, it is necessary to measure their biomass.     Measures led statistically on this species were processed and gave linear relations  between the biomass, the diameter and the importance of the crown of trees.      These relations have led to work out tables for the measure of biomass, by  making the difference between timber and fire wood.
