Overgeneralisatie als proces bij de secundaire verwerving van een dialect
- Kathy Rys
Abstract
This paper reports on research into the acquisition of the Maldegem
dialect as a second language by children who were raised in Standard Dutch.
It focuses on the intersystemic correspondence between phonological elements
of the first and second language as one of the factors that influences
the process of acquisition. Attention is also paid to the processes that shape
an interlanguage, especially to the process of overgeneralization. With respect
to this process three hypotheses are formulated. These hypotheses are tested
against the results of an analysis of spoken data.
